Eligibility

Welcome to our Eligibility page, designed to help you determine the right membership type for your needs.

Here you’ll find all the information you need to select the appropriate membership category and learn about the necessary documentation required for a smooth application process. Preparing these materials in advance will streamline your journey to becoming a Rambert Grades member.

Individual Member

To train in Creative Dance for Early Years only

In order to become a Member with Rambert Grades to train in Creative Dance for Early Years, you must be able to evidence your Level 4 or above teaching qualification; or you can submit evidence to demonstrate how your experience meets this criteria. This does not need to be a dance teaching qualification.

During the application process, you will be asked to provide:

  • Documentation of your Level 4 or above teaching qualification. Options may include a certificate or transcript

Individual Member

To train in Grades 1-8

In order to become a Member with Rambert Grades to train in Grades 1-8, you must either be able to evidence your Level 4 or above dance teaching qualification or combination of dance and teaching qualifications; or you can submit evidence to demonstrate how your experience meets this criteria.

During the application process, you will be asked to provide:

  • Documentation of your Level 4 or above dance teaching qualification, or other evidence. Options may include:
    • a qualification certificate or transcript
    • evidence of dance teaching experience
    • evidence of a performance career in contemporary dance

Centre Membership and Additional Centre Members

Those applying for Centre Membership must meet the requirements of the Individual Memberships outlined above.

Individuals applying to become Additional Centre Members will be asked for the same documentation as Individual Memberships outlined above. In addition, they will need to provide the name of the Centre Membership holder that they are applying to be connected with.

RAD Registered Teacher

During the application process, you will be asked to provide:

  • your RAD ID Number
  • an image of your valid RAD Membership Card or other proof of status

RAD Member and Member Plus

During the application process, you will be asked to provide:

  • your RAD ID Number
  • an image of your valid RAD Membership Card or other proof of status
  • evidence your Level 4 or above dance teaching qualification or combination of dance and teaching qualifications; or you can submit evidence to demonstrate how your experience meets this criteria.

Graduates

Rambert Grades offers the opportunity for recent graduates* or current final year students on a dance BA degree programme or equivalent course to access discounted membership for their first year as a member with us. 

*Offer valid for one year upon graduation only.

During the application process, you will be asked to provide:

  •  Evidence of your eligibility. Possible options include:
    • photograph of your a student ID
    • transcript or certificate
    • proof of studentship letter obtained from your institution

Please note that we require only one of these items.
